Terms of use

Who you are dealing with

VV and this website are provided by Vaitly Limited, a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 16814185, registered office Mill House Penrhos Farm, Nantgarw, Cardiff, CF15 7UN. Email letstalk@vaitlyvoice.com. Prices on this site are in pounds sterling; VAT is added at checkout where it applies.

Licence

VV is licensed, not sold. A Free or paid licence is personal to you and covers the number of active devices shown on the pricing page. The paid plan is Pro, sold monthly or annually. On 11 October 2026 we stopped selling the Private plans and lifetime licences; customers who held one were moved to Pro at no charge, and a lifetime licence bought before that date continues as Pro, with no renewal charge, for as long as we publish the VV 1.x product line. Team and Enterprise licences are governed by the agreement you sign with us. Open-source components keep their own licences, listed in our third-party notices.

Plans, payment and renewal

Payments are taken by Stripe on our behalf. Monthly and annual plans renew automatically at the end of each period at the price shown when you bought, until you cancel. You can cancel a subscription at any time from Settings → Account in the app or through the billing portal link in your receipt; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, and you keep your plan until then. Lifetime licences bought before 11 October 2026 were a single payment and are not renewed. If we change a subscription price we tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before it does.

Your right to cancel and our refund promise

Consumers in the UK have a legal right to cancel a purchase of digital content within 14 days of buying, for any reason. Because a paid licence starts working the moment you buy, you agree that we activate it immediately, and you keep the right to cancel within those 14 days anyway. To cancel, email letstalk@vaitlyvoice.com with the email address you bought with, or use the cancellation form on our refunds page. We refund the full amount to the card you paid with within 14 days of your request.

Beyond the legal right, we go further: any plan can be cancelled for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, and we refund a renewal charge if you ask within 14 days of it. The full promise, with the model cancellation form, is on the refunds page. None of this affects your statutory rights.

Accounts and the Free plan

The Free plan needs no account. An account is only used to move a plan between computers and to manage billing; it never holds your dictated text. The Free allowance may be changed with notice on the pricing page. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Free allowance or the service.

Acceptable use

Do not use VV to capture other people's speech without a lawful basis, to break another service's rules, or to break the law. Do not resell, share or lend a licence beyond its device allowance, and do not reverse-engineer the app in order to offer a competing hosted recogniser built from our binaries.

Our responsibility to you

We provide VV with reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude anything the law does not let us exclude, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Beyond that, we are not liable for lost text, missed deadlines, or dictation that misheard a name you never taught it, and our total liability to you in any twelve months is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top tells you when. Material changes are announced in the app or by email. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without taking away any protection you have as a consumer where you live.
